TOEFL iBT is preferred by most US universities, especially Ivy League and top-50 programs. A score of 100+ is competitive for top US schools. If your primary target is USA, consider TOEFL.
PTE Academic has the fastest results (24-48 hours) and is strongly preferred for Australian PR applications. It is also accepted by UK universities with Tier 4 visas.
Duolingo is the cheapest and most flexible option. While accepted at 5,000+ universities, many top-50 programs still prefer IELTS or TOEFL. Best for students applying to 2nd and 3rd tier US or Canadian universities.
